Our team, all, have many years of experience in steel detailing and many of them started out on the shop floor as fabricators. We feel this gives us a real advantage. When the person who is detailing the steel structure actually understands how it will be made then he can design it for ease manufacture. For example, it is simple for the fabricator to mark out and make, can similar parts be modified so they are the same, does it make effective use of steel stock lengths, etc. This also extends to how will it be erected; can the erector actually get his hand into that tight corner to fit the bolts, will it it be stable during installation, etc. We believe that experience translates into savings in the workshop and on site.
